Wild Guess

Paul Phillips
JOB(S): Programming, Design
FROM: Washington, DC
FAVORITE GAMES:  Civilization IV, Diablo 2, Counterstrike, DotA, Final Fantasy VII, Baldur’s Gate 2, Super Smash Bros Melee
BIO: Paul began tinkering with computers from a young age. He first learned about the difficulties of game engineering while playing the fine game of Battle City — he perfected the technique of lag-exploiting multiplayer battles by briefly unplugging his cable modem at opportune times (don’t try this at home, kids). Paul has since learned to be more accepting of rules and (mostly) plays fair today. Over the years, he has taught himself quite a few programming languages and earned himself an Aerospace Engineering degree. He has several years of experience with the Unity game engine and likes to pretend he knows what he’s doing with Git and various Linux servers. Paul is the lead programmer at Wild Guess.

Tim McMahon
JOB(S): Art, Design
FROM: Chicago, IL
FAVORITE GAMES:  Super Metroid, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Starcraft, DotA, Counterstrike, Diablo 2 & 3, Capcom VS SNK 2, Magic: The Gathering
BIO: Tim grew up in sunny South Florida, where he tried to arrange as many drawing contests with his fellow crayon-toting classmates as possible. For his 6th birthday, he received an NES and discovered gaming. Many, many years of honing his RTS, FPS, RPG, MMO, OMG, and BBQ skills followed.  After (somehow) earning a BFA with a major in computer arts in animation, Tim began a career as a CGI artist working at a boutique advertising studio in Chicago where he has been lucky enough to develop his visual art skills surrounded by numerous industry veterans. Tim is responsible for the character artwork, as well as overall art direction at Wild Guess.
